How to Unsubscribe and Opt Out from Marketing Emails & SMSs

We make unsubscribing and opting-out of promotional messages easy.

Stopping Promotional Emails

You can manage your preferences for promotional emails without affecting your ability to receive important transactional emails (such as when you want our support).

  • All marketing emails include an "unsubscribe" and "manage preferences" link at the bottom.

    • Click "unsubscribe" to opt-out of all marketing emails.

    • Click "manage preferences" to choose which notifications to receive (recommended for members).
  • We strongly recommend managing your preferences because our teams try to send important communications relevant to you which may be stopped by unsubscribing.

Stopping promotional SMS

  • To opt-out of SMS send STOP to +61 421 260 991.

  • Note: Opting out of SMS can prevent your ability to use our 2-way support SMS numbers – if you rely on 2-way SMS with the union, we recommend not opting-out.

We include opt-out instructions in our promotional SMSs, but if you notice this does not occur, please notify the Hotline as a matter of urgency to us.

Contacting the Hotline

If you are having trouble unsubscribing, or are still getting promotional communications after you beleive you have unsubscribed, we request you please urgently notify our team to assist you:

  • Call us on our 24/7 Member Support Hotline – 1300 263 374.
  • Send us an email to hotline@redunion.com.au.
  • Start a Live Chat during business hours.
  • Use the hotline's SMS number (if you've been provided it).

Important

  • Unsubscribing from marketing emails will NOT affect important membership communications (like billing notices or case updates)
  • If you also want to opt out of SMS communications, let our Support Hub know and we will update your preferences
  • Blocking or unsubscribing via your email client sometimes causes no emails to get through (including for example from our industrial advocates), contact the Hotline if you think this may have occurred.
